Navigation cheat-sheet

A one-page map of where to do things in PoultryDesk. Routes are relative to your subdomain ({slug}.poultrydesk.com).

How the app is laid out

• The left navigation groups screens by module (Lots, Locations, Health, Tasks, Inventory, Partners, Finance, Data, and more). Billing lives under Settings.
• Each module opens on a hub or list, with tabs across the top for its sub-sections.
• Daily entry and edit forms are their own pages, never pop-up dialogs, so they work well on a phone and can be bookmarked.
• On a phone, the tab strips collapse into a section-switcher button so you are never scrolling a long row of tabs sideways.
• The phone bottom bar keeps Home, Sales, Plan, and Lots one tap away. Open More for Inventory and the remaining modules available to your role and plan.

Light and dark appearance

PoultryDesk follows your device's light or dark setting by default. To choose explicitly, go to Settings, Appearance and pick one of:

• Light - always the light theme.
• Dark - always the dark theme, easier on the eyes in low light such as an early-morning collection round.
• System - match whatever your phone or computer is set to, and switch automatically when your device does.

The choice is saved per device, so your phone and your laptop can differ, and it applies to everyone signed in on that device. It does not need any special permission or plan.

A few navigation habits

• Start at the dashboard each day, then jump into the module that owns the detail.
• Use the Search utility in the app shell to jump straight to a flock, egg set, customer, or supplier.
• Use Sync from the phone top bar or laptop sidebar when you need to inspect the offline queue. Normal capture syncs automatically in the background.
• If a screen is not in your left navigation, it is either gated by your role or your plan. See the FAQ.
